Collaborative Sculpture with Roberto Giordani

June 20, 2018 By Jamie Dull

Level 2-3 Class – 5 Students Minimum : 6 Maximum

Dates: July 19-20-21

Times: 9am – 5pm with lunch break

Class description:  Roberto Giordani is a world class blacksmith hailing from Italy. He is traveling and teaching in the US this summer and is offering a three day workshop at Cascadia Center for Arts and Crafts this July. The workshop is a collaborative sculptural piece – each student forges an element and then all the elements are connected through traditional (and intriguing!) joinery methods. See Roberto’s sketch below. This is a rare opportunity to forge and learn with a master smith in a small group setting – and a stunning setting at that! Come enjoy the cool mountain temps on the flanks of beautiful Mount Hood and learn something new about moving hot steel. Space is limited so register today! Students should bring their own safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves.
 Cost – $475.00
